I loved that you had this on General Hospital. To let the young girls know they have somewhere to turn to.
My only problem is that Kristina lied on who did that to her. I feel that it is sending the wrong message to young girls. Plus it puts her in a position of being a liar and will get the person in trouble that didn”t do it. I would of loved to see her tell the truth about her boyfriend.
I feel that this was wrong.

I am very disappointed at how GH as twisted and abused the help and stamp of approval that your site has given them just for ratings and money. They are sending a horrible message to teens and kids and someone needs to give them a preverbal kick in the pants.

I am also very disappointed that Gh went the way they did, shows these poor girls to be scared and not tell the truth, and her boyfriend gets away with it, so he can do it again, and possibly kill her the next time, and an innocent man has to answer for it, I hope it is not a long story line, and the truth comes out soon. She was not so scared of what her boyfriend would do to her, she made it clear she was afraid of what her father would do to him, so it is ok for an innocent man to pay the price because she had a crush that he rejected, while the real abuser goes free…

Bad writting GH, very bad writting.

The biggest problem I have with this GH storyline is that it is causing a blaming of the victim. Kristina knowingly pointed the guilty finger at someone she knows did not abuse her. Krissy is being portrayed as a spoiled brat rather then someone who should be sympathetic. This twist in the storyline has taken the focus off of Kristina’s abuse and placed it on her LIE.

I hope that loveisrespect.org has nothing to do with the current turn/twist in the storyline. It’s hard to believe that GH consulted with professionals because the show of abuse has been spotty at best. I would not want to be associated with this victim blaming storyline if I were you.

I am very much enjoying the current story arc on General Hospital and feel your PSA is well placed.

How can you say that the show is sending a horrible message? Granted most girls that get abused probably don’t blame it on an innocent guy but many do protect their abuser the way Kristina is doing. I love the fact that every person that has spoken to Kristina has told her that the person that hit her was wrong, that no person has the right to physically assault another, and that it wasn’t her fault and every other positive thing a person can say to a victim of violence. It is a serious subject, one that I gained personal experience from 17-21, but this is still a television drama and the storyline isn’t going to be carried out as it would in reality.

I couldn’t disagree more Joseph. This story is very beneficial for teens and I have learned a lot about victims, and abusers since watching this on GH. Not every case is the same so what Kristina on GH is doing, is likely what other girls have done as well, which is blame anyone but the actual abuser. To me, this story is helping girls understand that they don’t need to lie, they shouldn’t lie, and they need to reach out for help. Kristina is obviously NOT at that point, which is good that GH is showing this side of things. Not all teens are going to get the help they need, when they need it, so showing that other girls are going through the same thing is a good thing in my opinion. I respect GH for telling this story, and yeah your’re right, there are some twists, but that’s to be expected, it’s a soap. They found a balance between telling a teen abuse story, and the fact that this is still a soap. I think it’s great. Bravo to loveisrespect for partnering with GH!! Thank you.

Yeah! Great job GH. Way to have the abuse victims mother run down and kill the abuser –thus making him the victim. Great message. Revenge killings disguised as an emotional accident. Love really is respect when GH does it, NOT.

The victim has take 10 steps back and is romaticizing her abuser because GH made the decision to make HIM the victim. Kristina got beat but Kiefer is now DEAD!

The focus shift from abuse to a childkilling by Alexis.

    This is crap!

PS, this is nothing like the GH of old that told a compelling and realistic story of HIV/AIDS and Heart Transplants.

They dropped the ball on this abuse story and with for SOAP!
